Outfits and more...

Sorry I have been MIA for some time now. I just really didnt have anytime to do much in the last 2 weeks or so. Ok now getting into the fun stuff. I have been slowly buying winter clothes for Joaquin here and there. I know buying a new wardrobe can get pricey but below are some pictures of stuff i bought new, stuff i bought at Once Upon a child (Gently used clothing store for kids) and stuff i bought at the thrift store.

Boots: Orange shoes lace boots i purchased from Ebay early summer. I had seen these last winter at GAP but they didnt carry baby size.. when i saw them again in the GAP adds i knew i wanted to get them. I believe they were origianlly 29.99 but got them on ebay (NWOT) for 10 bucks!! they are so so cute and comforateble on my little man. The boots on the left i purchased these last fall from Target on clearance for $5.00. I knew they would eventually fit Joaquin and sure enough they do! So before going to a store to shop for shoes check ebay, of course sometimes you cant pass up a great deal but do your research first before buying. As far as the boots from Target they were a must for only 5 bucks... ALWAYS ALWAYS check the clearance section at Target. They have some great deals on everything!

Jeans Below are Old Navy on sale for $10 and Right ones are originally from GAP but found at Fallas Paredes for 5.99! Always check discount stores like TJ, Burkes Outlets, Ross, Marshalls.

Poncho below was on sale at Target for $3.50 and blue blazer is from Once Upon A Child and got that on sale for $1.50. Guys used clothing store specifically made for kids are a great place to find clothes ...you can even take the clothes that no longer fit your kids to sell.

Striped long sleeve is from Old Navy and the one on the right is from Once Upon a Child for only a dollar! Tops like these can be work for a casual cool day :)

Both of these from Once Upon A Child...$1.50 each.  Fun and simple everyday use :)

Curious George top from Fallas for 3.99 and striped shirt on the right is from Thrift Town for only $1.00. I have mentioned before that I LOVE shopping at Thrift Stores..altough i might say that not all thrift stores are good but look around and find one that has great prices and merchandise. I love Thrift Town because they have great stuff, they pass out coupons, they have a customer appreciation card when you spend $10.00 or more, and each week they do 50% off a specific color.

Hoodie Shirt on the left Wal Mart and Hoodie on the right from Target on Clearance for $3.00. Wal Mart has a great childrens clothes department. I notice that the best time to find a good stock is when the season is about to begin..if you go right in the middle of a season everything is pretty much sold out or they have the sizes that you dont need.

Both shirts below are from Target and each were on clearance for $3.50. Again ALWAYS ALWAYS look in their clearance section!!
Target Sweaters on clearance for $3.50. One i bought the other my sister bought for Joaquin.
Wal Mart shirts for I believe $4.50 each (not too sure, but around that price). These shirts remind me of some that I had liked from Gap for much more that these. And in all honestly i think these are a lot cuter :)
Pants both from H&M at $9.95 each.Great material and fun colors and you can shop online at H&M now!

Whats more fun than yellow corduroy pants! These babies I found at Gap for what I thought was 16.99 plus a 30% off sale but when i went to the register they were marked down even more....$6.00!! LOVE LOVE these..cant wait to style mt little man with these :)
Ahhhh Thrift Store..these where both found at the thrift store for $1.99 each. One on the left is GAP and the other a Target brand. Again, I had seen a style like this that i had loved at GAP but didnt want to spend $30.00 on it. So when I found them at the Thrift store i was so excited!

Ok another great finds on wardrobe must haves! Striped sweater is originally from H&M but found at Burkes Outlet for $9.99 (YAY). Middle sweater is from Target this one was $10.00 after a 30% off sale I feel in love with the color. And the last one is also from Target ...on clearance for.....$4.00!! I will take some pics of Joaquin wearing some of these.

And here is my little man rocking an outfit with his cheesy face..... My Love :)

Hope this helps with ideas on where to shop :)

ELF Eyeshadow Palette Review

First of all i would like to apologize for not blogging for a while. We are going through a move at work and its been so busy for me.

Lets get started... I LOVE eyeshadow I always see the beautiful Urban Decay Palettes and many others but to be honest with you they are a bit out of my price range. When I was at Target a few days ago I ran into the ELF 32 Piece eyeshadow palette... the colors where beautiful a little bit of everything and for only 6 bucks!! I decided to buy it and and when I got home open the package (which I loved) i fell in LOVE with the colors. The color payoff is amazing except for like 2 colors. I took some pictures and did some swatches of most of the colors for you guys to see...

So when at Target or any other store that might carry ELF check out this palette you guys will be amazed!!!

P&V Sweet Creativity

I wanted to share with you guys my sister's bow & accessory business. I am beyond proud of the accomplishments she's had and the effort she puts in every single bow she makes. She stays till 1-2 in the morning at times to finish customer orders (on top of being a mommy to a very active 10 month baby girl Valentina).

You guys can go to P&V Sweet Creativity and check out some of the bows she has and many more accessories she creates. She is amazing :)

So to my sis I love you and can't wait to see where your business takes you.

Sick Couple of Days

Little man fall look inspirations

This year every season literally caught me by surprise. I am still stuck in summer even though we are into fall and a few weeks away from Halloween (Yay Halloween!!). So with that being said, below are some looks I have in mind for my little man this season. All the looks below can be found at Old Navy and all are at affordable prices. I might not get all of the pieces but these are just inspirations of looks I am going for this fall. Remember that Old Navy always have deals going on so check their website or their ad for coupons and discounts.

FYI this is my first time doing an inspiration board so might not look so good.... I will get better at it!

A little bit about me

Hi Everyone!! For this post I thought I'd take the time to share a little about myself. I am a 29 year old mom of an 18 month little boy named Joaquin, a step mom to a handsome 9 year old named Omar, living in the great state of Texas with my husband Roman, 3 dogs Lola, Dude, Mr. Big, and our cockatiel Daisy.

Ever since I can remember I've always loved crafting, decorating and fashion. I can still see my mom in her paddle sewing machine making clothes for my sister and I (with matching outfits for our dolls), making curtains for the house or decorating the house all while looking fabulous!! At a very young age I remember picking up all the remnants around her craft room and making clothes for the dolls, or making small pillows for them. As I've gotten older I can honestly say that has followed me. I love to decorate my house, love to sew (even though I am not that good at it), love taking on DIY projects and most recently I LOVE dressing my son with fun outfits.

I can't wait to fill this blog with DIY projects, fashion/makeup tips, baby boy outfit ideas (and sometimes girl's), recipes, thrifting (love love love thrift shopping), and of course other things here and there. So as I write this for my own future reference I would love it if you follow along with me.

Much love,
Gladys

Love

One of my favorite Bible verses....

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
Ephesians 4:2 (NLT)

First Day!!

After many years of wanting to join the blogging world I've finally done it! The Real Picasso?? YES! A little history...my Grandfathers name was Jose Concepcion Picasso and he was a painter in our small town of Coahuila Mexico, so to me he will always be The Real Picasso. I want to use this blog to record daily "life happenings" for my family and I, DIY's, recipe's, and who knows what else I will get into. It'll be an interesting journey that i cant wait to start!
