DIY-Circus Invitations
Hey there.. this is going to be a very simple post of how to create your own invites using word. I love doing as much DIY projects for my sons birthday party as I possibly can..and after many Google searches for ideas i saw several that I really liked but didn't want to purchase. This particular invitation is in shape of a ticket.. if you would like the word template please comment below and i will send it your way for you to print :)
So here is what you will need
red card stock paper
1" whole punch (bigger is probably better but this is what i had)
scalloped wavy edge scissors (hobby lobby)
paper cutter (or regular scissors to cut in half)
Once you cut the paper in half place your whole puncher on any corner and cut half a circle..do that to each corner.
Then taking your wavy scissors cut each end...one with the waves going in and one with them going out.
And there you have it.. simple and easy.

Happy Monday!!!! Had a great weekend with my family ran errands, cleaned, and more party planning !!
Here is an after picture of the goody bags. I bought the the cellophane roll at the dollar store. I used two rolls for the 12 goody bags. The nose and glasses party favors I bought at Hobby Lobby (using 40% off online coupon).
I am really happy with the way these turned out.I had originally bought little boxes but these are by far more fun!!! Remember to browse the dollar store they have tons of little goodies to add to these fun giveaways.

Step Right Up!!
My sons 2nd birthday was yesterday and we celebrated by taking him out to dinner with the family. We had such a good time that we even forgot it was a Thursday night and stayed out till 9pm (which is not too late but for us it is... oh the glories of getting older and being a parent ) a lot later than we should have.
Which brings me to the next topic BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! Last year Joaquin's birthday party theme was Cookie Monster. That boy LOVED cookie monster from the day he saw the blue stuffed animal of his at Target. This year i wanted to do something fun and colorful...so...we are doing a Circus theme!!! Oh the possibilities of Circus decor are endless but some of those things can get a bit pricey.
I will start off by showing you guys the goody bags....
Most of the stuff i got was from the dollar store. Here is a list of the things i put in the goody bags..
Dollar Tree Popcorn Container (2x1)
Candy
Mini Popcorn bags
Toys (Dollar Tree)
Tickets to add extra decor (Dollar Tree)
Straw (Dollar Tree)
Pencil (Dollar Tree)
I put the big bulky candy at the bottom to support the candy on top.
My lovely sister and I stayed till 1am finishing these up. The final step to finish these are wrapping them with clear cellophane ( I will post pictures up when that is done).
Next time i will post the rest of my party decor and where I got them...ohhhh and my DIY invitations :)
Till next time ..hope you all have a great weekend!
