Pumpkin Patch Fun!

A couple of weeks ago my sister and I took the kids to a small pumpkin patch by our house. South Texas weather is HOT almost all year (seems like it anyways) so we had to play it up by arriving at the pumpkin patch super early and dressing the kids up in "fallish'' clothes.

I didn't want to take pictures of my son at the pumpkin patch dressed in summer clothes. Here is some of the pictures I took on my cell phone.

Whoever said that dressing a boy was hard or finding clothes for them was hard is cray cray! I LOVE dressing my little man, and there are tons of cute clothes at stores.

I don't mind spending money on my son, but sometimes buying new clothes can get expensive !! So towards the end of summer I went to the thrift store (thrift town) and found some awesome fall pieces. Joaquin is rockin' his construction boots from Once Upon a child (paid $2.50), his jeans are from The Children's Place (on sale $8.00), his flannel button up and white shirt I found at the thrift store (no more than $5.00 for both!). So overall about $15.00!! I will put up a post soon with the clothes I've gotten him for the fall/winter (what winter??).

Loving on cousin Valentina ..

Overall we had such a fun time. the kids got to pick a pumpkin and ride around in a wagon (pulled by me). A few tips is to take some snacks, arrive early, and take cash. Happy kids equals happy mommy!
